Chris is a wonderful teacher—one of those rare ones who brings intuition, heart, wisdom, and professionalism to every class. In responding to your work, he is insightful and spontaneous, meeting you (and your work) exactly where you are (it is). He is not precious and doesn’t have a pretentious bone in his body. To this end, he’s a fantastic resource to help you WRITE and to work through and past whatever obstacle. He is a verb guy, all about encouraging and inspiring you to just. keep. writing. I also appreciate how respectful he is of his students’ time, ensuring that everyone has clear expectations so that class is smooth sailing and organized. Above all, his love of writing and his dedication to it is infectious. He’s a joy to spend time with.
